I don’t know. Mountain Lion Server won’t tell me. It just says:
Aug 5 17:54:21 aramaki com.apple.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd[31999]): Exited with code: 1
Aug 5 17:54:21 aramaki com.apple.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
Aug 5 17:54:31 aramaki com.apple.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd[32002]): Exited with code: 1
Aug 5 17:54:31 aramaki com.apple.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
And when I use Apples instruction to ‘reset’ the httpd daemon it tells me
Aug 5 17:56:34 aramaki.kudde.net serveradmin[32017]: servermgr_web: restoreFactorySettings failed
Isn’t that awesome? MySQL doesn’t work either. But that doesn’t show up *anywhere* in the logs so I have even less of a clue.
Great!
Same problem here.
Also don’t have a clue until now.
It seems the only solution with a shimmer of hope is to move on ahead with my “phasing-out-Mac-OS-Server” as soon as possible and get rid of this abomination as soon as possible!
Here comes what works for me:
I found out that my httpd.conf had some issues. Try a “apachectl configtest”.
After fixing the errors I followed these instructions:
http://coolestguyplanettech.com/downtown/install-and-configure-apache-mysql-php-and-phpmyadmin-osx-108-mountain-lion
With this I’m back with a fully functional MAMP.
But it looks like Apple does not like Web-Developers.
Except I used Mountain Lion Server not the client.
But it doesn’t matter anymore. All important services have since been moved to a Linux distribution.
Thanks for the tip though.
