So today i finally gave in on the WordPress hype of posting the plugins you make on their hosting space via subversion.
I knew what it was, what it did but had never used it. So it was a bit of a struggle to get it to work. Luckily a friendly colleague helped out a great deal by explaining and showing me a few things. He also set me up with a super-sweet svn client called ‘Versions’ (Mac OSX).
I have no 5 of my plugins hosted at WordPress.org. And it’s going well i think. I have to work out a bit of a workflow to fit the new SVN in my development routine but i’ll manage.
A list of hosted plugins and links to them is on my wordpress profile: /extend/plugins/profile/shrikee
And downloads are raking up already. This also kind of ignited a massive increase in visitors to my site, which is nice. Maybe people start reading the crap i write for once!

It seems that especially my oldest plugin is popular. The Events plugin. Many people come in on that thing.

I’m trying to learn Subversion too, and found your blog by googling “learning subversion mac.” Sure wish you would consider writing a “how to” post. I’m finding it to be a bitch, too. Thanks for sharing your plugins — they look handy.
