Events v1.3

Written by Arnan on July 17, 2008 – 11:46 pm

A big/huge/large update today! Including many feature requests and some changes as well as some bugfixes (minor ones)

And here is the changelog:
[change] Widget now integrated into the plugin, this should fix future version mismatches
[change] Updated options panel for widget
[new] Link to add event on manage page
[new] Locations for events
[new] All day events
[fix] Minor bugfixes in the parsing of events on archives
[fix] Titles of links are now better parsed
[new] In management, events now can be sorted by location
[change] Events description field is enlarged a fair bit
[change] All options are now split up in 3 groups (options/templates/languages) You might need to reset all options!
[fix] If HH:MM are 00:00 it is filtered out from the timestamp %date%

Not so much not so much at all! ha!

Take note that with this new version the whole ’settings’ setting is overhauled and thus might require you to configure Events from the ground up. So don’t be surprised if your template or language is gone.

Oh and before upgrading read the damn upgrade instructions, they have real purpose and are very important! Especially with this upgrade!

Unfortunately, after the Wordpress update 2.6 and Events 1.3 my events won’t show anymore in the sidebar. I get the message:

Unknown column ‘title_link’ in ‘field list’.

    Please help… :(

Jeroen, Please do not double post… It won’t speed things up.

Also, check the upgrade instructions: http://meandmymac.net/plugins/events/#upgrade (which is also clearly stated in the post if you had read it!!)

Maybe you should read it, there IS actually some usefull information in it.

    Hi there,

I did the DB fix and now the [events_list] variable is being replaced with nothing… it takes it out, so I know the plugin is fine, but it is not replacing.

I know there is an event there and I jnow it is formatted correctly, in terms of start/end dates. Also, the plugin lists events wrongly on the manage screen. the start/end dates are all messed up.

I think it MAY be that if I use apostrophes in the titles, etc, the thing breaks… but I’m not sure. Need to test more.

    Please help!!!

see if the template didn’t get erased by the upgrade. Also check the other options.

Thomas, make sure you use the latest version. Seeing as you post on a post for an older version…
