So lately i’ve come to the realization that i have an iMac. Ofcourse. i bought the damn thing myself in May but i didn’t use it much. My Macbook Pro was my main computer for everything but games. Mainly due to the greater ease of use and preference in OS i moved away from my desktop computer, a PC at the time, to my laptop and it kinda stayed that way when i got my iMac.

Now over the past month or so… I’ve been moving things back to my desktop. My iPhone and thus my iTunes library is on my iMac now. Being the main thing and the Macbook syncs to that, earlier it was vice versa.
With my OSX server being dead i no longer have a central space for my calendars but that’s fixed with BusySync. This keeps both macs up-to-date automagically and contacts are on the iMac as well.

I do most of my coding on the laptop still. Or atleast run the localhost server on that. Write code on the iMac where i can… and test it on the Macbook. Because i just don’t feel like synchronizing the mysql stuff every time and still want to be mobile with my code and MAMP setup. It kinda needs to be on my laptop then.
Obviously mail is still on the laptop, but since that’s all IMAP it’s also set up on the iMac, i don’t use it often though, on the iMac. And MSN, chat and that sorta things are on the laptop and will remain there.

So i have spread the various things a bit more, as they were before i got my Macbook pro, 2 years ago. So far it works fine and i finally take the benefit of the 20″ screen and power of the iMac a bit more where i need it.
