I bought a new printer-scannner-copier-megamultitool-printer last month or so. And thought Vuescan for scanning would suffice. I didn’t really try though as the printer was in the supported list and that was enough for me to know that i didn’t need the HP software.
Now however, i did need to scan something and Vuescan was an Epic fail. Sluggish performance at best and it crashed almost every action. So i have to install the “HP software suite” after all… 350 MB of software of which i probably only need 10-20MB…
