Events 2.0
Written by Arnan on June 21, 2009 – 8:22 pmA big update for Events. With some important changes!
First, the old way of adding events lists to your posts and pages is no longer supported. For a few versions the new method has been:
[events_show]
This is the way forward. Refer to the manual on how to use the new method!
2nd, Finally i have figured out a way to add recurring events again. It’s actually quite simple if you think of it. You create one event and among the settings is an option to repeat the event ever day or week, etc. Also there is an option to repeat it up to 20 times. Combining the 2 gives you a solid and simple recurring option. Try it out!

Hello, I was just going to install the previous version of wp-events, and found out there was a new version – great! However, I can’t seem to add any categories, it tells me “No category name filled in” every time i try to add a category.
