Now that it’s out for a bit. I still can’t get one here in the Netherlands… But hey, a lot more information is available.
Positive reviews from friends and mates. And the upcoming iPhone OS 4. I now too am inflicted the iPad madness.
I want one.
I still think it’s a large iPod Touch, but it just became a lot cooler.

Mhh, from “failboat” to “I want one”, that’s quite a dramatic change :-).
Though, the specs haven’t changed since your “review” and all the limitations you mention still apply. What made you change your mind?

The main objection i had against the iPad is that it lacked multitasking. It has the potential to be an actual computer but at the same time Apple killed that by not supporting multitasking. As i wrote in my comparison post, that was the actual dealbreaker. But in iPhone OS 4 they fixed that.
The other stuff all kinda relate to the claim that Apple aims to compete with netbooks and the like. If you saw the initial keynote you’ll see that Apple tells us the iPad is competing with netbooks. But there are some fundamental differences between the 2 which make that impossible.
But was not a reason not to buy an iPad.
When i get an iPad it’s gonna be some luxury device i will use in and around the house and perhaps occasionally take with me. I have a MacBook Pro for travelling and getting things done.
