I’ve been bringing the iPad to work for the past few days. Most of the day it’s on my desk idly waiting for me to touch it. Being on my desk it’s also quite visible for customers. Some just look at it. Some mumble to their partners;
“look an iPad”
“where” (looks around startled)
“I’ve never seen an iPad in real life”
“it looks amazing”
Some ask if it’s broken;
“don’t tell me you have a broken iPad already”
“no, why?”
“there is one there”
“that’s my iPad it’s not broken, we’ve had a few though. Way before launch”
“really? Omg!” (shock and awe, right? A repair shop repairing ipads)
“yea, we fixed them too”
“whoa you guys are so lucky you get to play with all the cool stuff”
And how… We never get to keep it if it works. That’s how lucky we are
In the train it’s no better. Especially when im playing geometry wars or the like. Flashy graphics and fast paced action.. It draws a lot of attention somehow. Some people are blunt enough to openly gaze at my calendar app… Oi, focus on your newspaper!! Don’t read along with me in my news items I downloaded in there!
It’s like kids in a wildlife park…
I wonder if I can tether it to the iPhone somehow and go online with it. In the default software the devices ignore each other via Bluetooth.

Be careful you don’t get robbed!!
