Hi Mr. Dev

I just stumbled upon this plugin and think that it takes WordPress to the next level for small and medium business sites. My Mom is just about to start her choaching business and it*s my job to code the page – as i am a computer scientist and earn my money in a students job as a coder in Germany.

I hope you continue your work, since this seems to be the only really good plugin for planing events in WP (if one doesn’t have the time to code an own one ). I think you should do a license-system. The free-version would have some sort of i-frame that “calls home” so you get notice of new installations. Then there should be a licensing for clubs like non-profit sports clubs and stuff. Another license for small to medium business and one for like big business. Or something. So people can check out the plugin, but have to deal with the iframe (ok that would be fast to crack but anyway) and would receive the plugin without adds when they buy the license.

Events at heart is a countdown plugin. Not a scheduler or calendaring solution.
A soft of notification option could be useful.

Currently I can’t really find much motivation to (re)start this project. Maybe when the stress and annoyances from other endeavors dies down a bit

When I was looking for a job and queued up for a job Listed on Linkedin I wasn’t very successful. Because with me, 200 others would have applied. But that’s almost 18 months ago. I didn’t get invited for any or the ones I applied for.
Actually that lack of response was one of the things that pushed me to start my own business

Suggestion for updates:
Calendar view and widget.
Would also like integration with a newsletter plugin like wysija.
That would add the possibility to automatically send out a number of upcoming events weekly/monthly.

I’m in agreement with your post, to some extent. I’m actively looking for work and just signed up for a “job seeker’ profile. While I see a ton of job opportunities listed, I’m not sure how successful I’ll be using this as an option. I don’t plan to pay for more than one month of the membership service. We’ll see how it goes.

Beyond job searching, I don’t have much use for LinkedIn at this point….and, I agree….there doesn’t seem to be much value.

Have been using your plugin for a while, and I like it a lot. I would definitely like to see it being further developed. I could of course change to a different plugin, but I would rather not.
I would also consider buying a pro version, depending on the added functionality. As of now, I am happy with it in all it’s simplicity. Single site for €10, sure.

Hi there Arnan

You ask some very interesting questions about your plugin. We have used your plugin on a number of projects so fa and are very impressed with it.

I have only used the part which deals the page content and added it in to a widget using your shortcode. It works very well and give the information to the surfer quickly. I have changed the time the item is deleted from the list from a day to a few hours. I would like the ability to move things around on the Events page so that details are filled in as you would see them on screen. but bapart from that I can’t think of anything else.

Price: This would depend on whether it was for just one site or a number of sites. One site €5 if it was an unlimited sites license I would happily pay €50.

I was always very happy with your plugin. Just a few days ago I started looking for an alternative, als wp-events causes problems in 3.5.1 with other plugins, the media library, etc.

I would prefer to stay with wp-events, paying also a reasonable price for a pro version. Better sooner than later, as I have to solve some problems with the now latest version of the plugin on serveral websites.

Would be very glad to see further development!
