next stop groningen?

After a 2 week radio silence Google finally got back to me about giving me a job. 2 weeks ago i received a lengthy email from a recruiting guy from Google London. Explaining that they [Google] were looking for a Datacenter Technician and inquired if i was interested. And was i… I was thrilled to even receive the email. No less surprised! I never did hear anything from my earlier application. And now this… After reading that, i turned my attention to my cellphone, which has that annoying habit of beeping/buzzing and in any other form possible try to get my attention for every event i missed and never stops until i check up on it. Presumably it was Google London who tried to call me since the phone number matched up. So i pondered for a moment decided it was a great opportunity and sent an email back in which i told them i was seriously interested.
Then nothing… After a week (last friday) i mailed them again asking about the status and now today i received a phonecall from Google asking if i had time to do a ’screening’ by phone. Which i had, so he went on asking me all kinds of things about networking, PC’s in general explained a bit about the working conditions and environments and such, that they offer a competitive salary and all that. After like 20 minutes i think he was satisfied so far and would talk things over with the gang and he or something from the datacenter will get back to me in the coming week or so for a phone interview.
So i have to keep my phone close now and keep it charged.
Also i’ve been sniffing around for a house in the region there. Seems cheap and do-able enough.
It’s on the other side of the country… And no, 6 hours traveling time per day is not an option for me
