A week later AdRotate is still not available via the WP repositories.

We posted 3 tickets on wordpress.com asking what the status is and also filed complaints in those tickets. All have been ignored so far.
We’ve spend hours searching for a way to contact anyone related to the repositories. No contact information is available.
We’ve tried to contact support people from wordpress.com directly, they have no listed information to contact them outside the ticket system that we could find.
We’ve tried re-registering the plugin in the repositories. The name has been taken (obviously!)

We posted on the overcrowded WordPress forums (here) earlier today in the hopes someone will pick up on it. We have little hope.
We’ve emailed Matt (the main WP guy) directly. His site says he’s busy and replies are slow. We have no hope that he’ll get back to us in time.
We’ve posted on Matts Facebook wall complaining about the sad state of affairs. We expect little of this.

So now we ask you! The user. Should we stir the beast some more? Just sit angry and wait? Could you make some noise? Post on your blogs, your twitter, your Facebook…
Ask for a better support platform, notifications and most importantly to get AdRotate back in the repositories!

This is getting really frustrating. Countless hours we have spent to make this great plugin.
All to be squashed by one guy who can’t find a forum. A guy who isn’t even related to us, to automattic or anything near it.
Don’t let this be the end of AdRotate and make some noise!

Thanks in advance for any efforts!

Just over a month ago i’ve replaced the forum with a ticket support system. I like this tool so much that i even bought a license for it.

Anyway, today i did some digging in the dashboard of it and noticed that the categories list not only shows the categories names but also how many tickets are in there.

Most tickets, as of this moment, have been answered and solved in one or another way. A few have been left unanswered by the poster after i replied.
And i found that the email notifications and the feat that you don’t need to have an account to use this thing works really well for most people.

Over the coming weeks i will be phasing out the forum.
The shortcomings and broken code in BBPress is getting on my nerves.

So, behold! Starting today AdRotate along with some small fixes will be the first plugin to point yousers to a new support platform.
If things work out it will replace the forum. This new system is a ticket system. It requires no accounts from users. And it has a Knowledgebase. Which i am very fond of. Short manuals, descriptions and general information will show up here over time.

This ticket system can be found at http://meandmymac.net/support/ and i encourage everyone to use it and provide with feedback if things are not working or should be done better or differently.

For an upcoming project i’m gonna need some simple noob proof ticket/issuetracking system.

I have discussed this matter with my webhost and they claim that on their system there is no option for trac. Which is a pity.

Any system that runs of of a Linux/PHP/CGI server that has an easy interface and works solidly would do really.
There’s gonna be a few developers i nthis project. And users would need to register to submit tickets. Additionally we would like to be able to categorize stuff and have some flexibility with themes (themes are optional).
Preferably we would like to use an free to use system based on PHP.

Currently we have a setup of Flyspray going. It does what we want but it’s a bit clunky and ugly. We’re not sure if it’s gonna hold up.

Any input is welcome! Cheers!

To everyone.

In the past days i’ve been creating a simple support ticket system. I need it tested so i put it to action on this site. Instead of the forum you can now also post on the ticket system which you will find on the dashboard of this website. Use your current forum login to get there.

If it works fine it might replace the forum.
All tickets are viewable by registered users. Everyone can help eachother by replying on the tickets and ofcourse i do the same, help people.

Email notifications are in place. Everyone currently registered at the meandmymac forum can use the ticket system. New registrations are enabled as of now.

I hope to see you all there. And that the support system may be a success!
